The DMV

The DMV is a great equalizer. Everyone, regardless of race or socioeconomic level has to wait in line, speak to unfriendly workers and supply information. I hate the DMV. Anyhoo, while waiting in line for the second time because of course I did not bring ALL the necessary tax papers from three years ago, I looked around and started thinking about theme songs. What if everyone had a theme song, like Shaft or the Greatest American Hero that played whenever you walked into a room? I think you could learn so much about the people standing in line next to you, if you knew their theme song. Maybe you'd even make new friends.

So, what I have decided to do is 1) figure out my theme song, and 2) whenever I walk into a room or am walking down the street or whatnot, I will sing or hum my theme song and see if this idea catches on. The guy with Hug thing got on Oprah. What about me?

thank you for sharing your train of thoughts...It's like you're right here next to me with a diet coke and MTV! seriously - at this moment I can clearly see that life without you would have been a drag. - bonymaroni
